by Aureeza Collection
This season moves away from pastel lawn towards jewel tones — maroon, bottle green, rust, and deep purple dominate the winter dhanak pieces in our Aureeza Edit collection. These shades photograph beautifully and hide the everyday wear that lighter colours show first.
Where summer lawn favours light scattered motifs, winter dhanak is going for full front panels — dense floral or paisley work running from the neckline to the hem. It's heavier to wear but reads as far more festive, which makes it the easy choice for winter weddings and family events.
The shawl has become the focal point rather than an afterthought. Printed wool and pashmina-blend shawls with contrasting borders are being paired with plain or lightly embroidered kurtas, letting the shawl carry the pattern instead of competing with a heavily worked front.
Dhanak's slightly heavier weave holds embroidery crisper than lawn and adds real warmth without the bulk of a full wool suit — which is why it's the base fabric of choice for winter 2026 across most of our new pieces.
Look for a dhanak base in a jewel tone, front embroidery that runs the full length of the kurta, and a printed wool shawl in a contrasting or tonal shade. Start with our New Arrivals to see this season's dhanak pieces first.
